Cnc Vertical Lathe Machine

Machine coordinate system - In the manufacturing industry, with regard to CNC machine tools, the phrase machine coordinate system refers to the physical limits of the motion of the machine in each of its axes, and to the numerical coordinate which is assigned (by the machine's manufacturer) to each of these limits.

Wimshurst machine - The Wimshurst machine is an historical electrostatic machine for generating high voltages, and was developed by British inventor James Wimshurst (1832 – 1903). It is an electrical generator with a distinctive appearance, having two large contra-rotating discs mounted in a vertical plane, and a spark gap formed by two metal spheres.

Machine taper - In the design of machine tools there is a need for users to be able to quickly and easily install or remove particular cutting bits or other accessories from the powered rotating spindle of the machine tool. One example is a lathe headstock, which has a rotating spindle to which one may want to mount a spur drive.

Lathe (tool) - In woodturning, metalworking, metal spinning, and glassworking, a lathe is a machine tool which spins a block of material so that when abrasive, cutting, or deformation tools are applied to the block, it can be shaped to produce an object which has rotational symmetry about an axis of rotation. The material is held in place by either one or two centers, at least one of which can be moved horizontally to accommodate varying material lengths.
